Unmedicated ovulation question

I tend to ovulate between cd 14 and 17. Today on cd11, I have a 12mm follicle. My question....do follicles grow the same unmedicated as medicated (1-2 mm/day)? Also, during my ivf cycle I triggered when my largest follie was 23mm and had retrieval 2 days later. Does that mean that I need my follie to be 25-27mm before I O?

I find that my follicles grow slow up to a point and then grow fairly quickly, so I never followed that 1-2mm per day average for medicated cycles. My unmedicated cycles are the same and I have had a lead follicle in the low 20s and no natural surge (had a trigger shot) and follicle around 18 with a natural surge.

Thanks Edwina. I guess it's the same as everything else. Every cycle can be different.

you should have had help during the IVF cycle to make sure you didn't O before they wanted you to... so no, you follie doesn't need to be 25mm... probably between 18-20 (according to my RE), and she said yes to 1-2mm a day on unmedicated cycle
