Had my membranes swept

And lost my mucus plug immediately afterwards while I was cleaning myself up at the OB office.  She also stretched me another cm.  It felt like moderate period cramps with pretty intense pressure and for some reason it gave me instant heartburn.  She told me that I could go anytime, but that generally it will work 24-48 hours afterwards, and that if it doesn't she may need to sweep me again. 

She also told me that baby felt to be already around 9lbs, and that I had a "good pelvis and vagina" lol, so I will be able to deliver this big baby no problem.  My family always has big babies so I am not worried. 

So I am off to walk as much as possible and take advantage of this sweep!  Wish me luck!

Oh- and still crampy and spotting, but nothing too bad.

good luck .. my ob also offered me the membrane sweep today at my 39w1d appointment .. i refused however coz i want to go on my own and do not want any intervention until my due date at least ...but if he doesnt come by next week .. i am geting them sweeped next week at 40w and will talk induction with my doc..
