I currently drive a Mitshubishi Eclipse convertible (which I LOVE SO MUCH), but I can barely fit a duffel bag in the back seat, let alone a car seat. So, I have to sell my car and get a new one. (so bittersweet!!)
Is anyone else moving up to a bigger ride? What are you thinking about getting?
And for those of you who already have a baby friendly vehicle, any suggestions?

After nearly 3 years of waiting our LO was born December 18th 2012!
We likely will be upgrading my Civic (which I love
) to get a Rav-4. Waiting for the next round of 0% financing to come around (they JUST had it last month, and we're expecting another round in the next 2-3 months).
We would have kept my car if we only had one, but now that we're expecting twins...that completely changed the game!
We had to trade in our truck with DS. We got a Nissan Rogue. I like it, but in hindsight, I may have liked the CRV better.

Actually DH is a Madison alum, I'm not. We lived there for three years and recently bought a house about 20 miles west of Milwaukee! I still work in the Madison area though, so I'm there about once a week.
We got a Toyota Rav4 about 3-4 months ago & love it.
ETA We bought it because my Saturn Vue completely died for no apparent reason... so I wouldn't suggest a Vue.
We have a Chevy Equinox(mine, and I LOVE it) and a Chevy Silverado (H's, which I also LOVE).
IF I have more than 2 kids, I would like a third row SUV over a mini-van. unless I can get a fully decked out, which most likely won't happen. lol.
last august i had to get a new car, and planning ahead i went with a small suv, knowing that we wanted a family sooner rather than later. i went with a hundai tuscon and LOVE it! I'm not a minivan person or a huge vehicle person so i was very pleased and surprised with how much room my little suv gives me! there will be plenty of room for a car seat (or seats, in the future) and i can still fold down one side if needed and still have the car seat back there...
strongly recommend it
We are waiting until my first ultrasound which is 6/19 to see if there is one or two in there. That will help us decide. If both embies stuck then we will trade my Rav4 in for the Sienna, but if there is one, we will just keep my Rav4. I love it. It just doesn't have room for 3 car seats. Even two is pushing it with space.
Lots of love TBBFF lobosabby!! Always rooting for the TTGP girls
My Chart
We were fine with 2 carseats in my Matrix and DH drove a 4Runner we would use for bigger trips. That just wasn't going to work for a 3rd carseat so we just bought a Sienna.
We were looking at some of the 3rd row SUVs, but the reality with a lot is they are a pain to get back to a carseat in the third row. For older kids it would be ok, but the carseat would suck. I also notice you lose a TON of storage when you have the 3rd row up. Stuff for 3 kids for a week just wouldn't fit.
We have totally looked at SUVs with third rows too, but I agree with you on the Sienna. So much room! My DH still makes fun of me for even thinking I want a minivan, but it really is so convenient and drives really nice too. I am even thinking about getting one even if there is only one little bean. It would be nice to have all the space! And let's not forget the automatic doors! With infant seats I think this would be awesome.
Be careful with that option, it is barely big enough for a our Britax with DD forward facing. I guess it depends how tall your hubby is, mine is 6'3 and needs the seat all the way back, which doesn't leave a lot of leg room for poor DD
We've been looking into it. I have a 4 door Civic, and FI has a two door Civic. I'm sure the baby would be okay (at least as an infant) in my Civic with DS, but FI's two door is going to be a huge problem.
Neither of us want to get rid of our cars. Mine is paid off. His isn't. Maybe looking into getting a used CRV or Pilot, but I just don't know if we can stomach the extra expense at this point. We'll see.
I got an Acura RDX with LO#1

We had a ford focus when it was just me, DH and our 2 boys, when we started TTC we realized there's really no way to be fitting my 3 year old(soon to be 4) in his booster seat and my 6 year old who i still keep in a booster seat and an infant car seat in the back seat of it.
We were already contemplating getting a new car and decided something with a 3rd row would be a lot easier, but I'm that mom who refuses to drive a mini van..lol. I'm just not a big fan of the mini van, so we ended up getting a 2012 Dodge Journey which i am IN LOVE with! And we got a great deal on it and the payments surprisingly aren't much more than when we had the focus. And surprise barely a month after we get the Journey, we get pregnant! So it all worked out great so far.

I love my CX-9! We came to the same conclusion on this car - a lot of bang for your buck, and plus 0% financing to boot. We bought it in January planning for number three, and even took our infant seat to the dealership to ensure we could do three-across. The third-row gives us more seating options when the kids get bigger, but the trunk is HUGE with the seats folded down. For comparison, our top three vehicles were this, the Honda Pilot, and the Dodge Durango. I traded in my well-loved civic, which I do still miss. The CX-9 drove most like a car to us, which was a huge plus.
LOVE my CX-9!
