Natural Birth

What books do you recommend for me?

I am interested in a natural birthing experience for our first child (and any others that come if possible) and have heard of the Bradley Method, but not sure what book(s) to read about it.  What book(s) do you recommend for me to read?  Also, my husband is starting his EMT course and is interested in participating in the delivery.  Any advice you have will be appreciated. :)  Thank you.

  • Thank you so much for your recommendations! I am actually looking at those books on amazon.com now, reading over reviews and such.  Good luck with your delivery, and thanks again! :)

  • I definitely agree with pp recommendations. Those two books are phenomenal! I would also recommend Natural Hospital Birth: The Best of Both Worlds if you're planning on delivering in a hospital, and I just recently started Birthing from Within. It's a completely different more mental approach to child birth, which is kind of cool I think. :) Good luck!

  • "Natural Birth the Bradley Way" is on Amazon for about $12 and change. It's not a kindle edition (yet) but when I was researching the reviews for a good read this book was praised numerous times above the other books.
