  • Teething tablets might help. We are in the same boat. He is waking every hour or so!  We use Advil because it lasts longer and is anti-inflammatory

Yes, this. Tylenol didn't quite do it for us either.

  • I've always read that most teething tablets contain Belladonna and you should avoid giving baby anything with Belladona.

Athough it's temporary, Orajel Naturals has worked for us when she has been irritated by her teeth.  But she wasn't bothered as much when she got a tooth...however she only has 2.

  • Wouldn't recommend orajel as it has numbing qualities (what makes the gums feel better) and can be a choking hazard if too much gets into the throat. As for teething tablets (have done ALOT of research) and the amounts of belladonna in the tablets are negligable (per my doctor and research) and for some babies work great. Finally for our DD we used a combo of ibuprofen (lasts longer, is more effective for our daughter for teething pain) and a little chloroseptic (recommended by our doctor) on our finger rubbed on her gums. Once we get a few doses of ibuprofen in our little girl goes from demon baby to sweet girl again and is back to sleeping and eating normally. Good luck!

  • Orajel Nautrals work great for DD.

  • Advil works better than Tylenol.  I give Advil on bad nights.  On so so nights I give the homeopathic Camilia drops (sold at Whole Foods).

  • We used the baby orajel night time and generic baby Tylenol which is all our pedi will allow-- no ibuprofen in her book. The night time orajel lasts longer. Just use a teeny tiny amount on your finger then rub on gum but don't do it before LO is right at the point of falling asleep.  Good luck!
