boy's name or girl's name?

We were chatting today at lunch,the name Huxley was mentioned, a friend of mine said she thought it was a great name and would go well with DS' name (Bauer). I mentioned it to DH, and he thought it was a girl's name, I thought a boy's name.  What do you think?

Is it actually a name at all?  I think it's pretty horrible but I'm with you and would think boy first.

It's a last name....as in Aldous Huxley.  Or Elspeth Huxley.

I thought Aldous Huxley as well.

I said boy's name.  I've never heard it...and I like it!  Unique and maybe something people have to warm up to...but I think it could really grow on people!

A friend of mine was going to use this if her DD was a boy. She ended up using it as a MN for her daughter because the meaning has significance in their family.

If she used it on a boy, his nn would have been Huck or Hux.
