When baby drops from 2 naps to 1...

When baby drops from 2 naps to 1, when does the one nap occur? Morning? Midday? Afternoon? 

We aren't there yet, but I'm curious...

    This hasn't happened for us yet, either; however, DD has been stretching out her AM nap and shortening her PM nap, so it makes me think her 1 nap will be in the AM. But, all my friends' kiddos take PM naps, which really seems more logical to me.

    If I remember correctly with DD, your child will drop from 2 naps to 1 just when they are getting molars.  It was around 18 months for her and it sucked.  I usually put her down right after lunch for her one nap.

    Ours dropped his afternoon nap a month ago or so. He now naps from 11ish to around 1. It kinda sucks. But he's pretty abnormal in the sleep category.

    Hasn't happened yet with DD, but with DS we did right after lunch or around 12:00-12:30.  (with lunch at 11-11:30)

    I think we aren't too far from this with DD though, she's been fighting her a.m. nap but will still fall alseep if we're out in the stroller or riding in the car.
