How long did you bleed after d&c?

Sorry, this is a little TMI but how long did you bleed after your d&c.  I had mine last Wednesday and it hasn't gotten any lighter.  I'm still having major cramps and passing clots.  I'm trying to decide if I should call my Dr.

I had medium bleeding (like my normal period) while I was still in the hospital, and then it tapered off to light in the next few days, then spotting and a pinkish tint for a week after. It didn't completely go away until into the second week.

Since my situation was different I don't know what to advise, but I always say call your doctor or their nurse and ask if you are worried.

I bled clotty for about a week.

I blend for 2 weeks 2 days until it was finally over. It was also clotty for a little over a week. Hope u are doing better soon. Agree with above poster: when in doubt call md. Best wishes.

I just had mine yesterday so I can't really say, but my doctor told me anywhere from 1-2 weeks is normal.

I would call your doctor just to make sure.  They will probably ask if you are soaking a pad in an hour or less..that is kind of their determining factor (at least it was whenever I called).  I started bleeding really heavily and cramping really badly about 5 days after my 1st D&C and when I went back into the Dr they found that there was still tissue that needed to be removed.  Good luck to you. I hope you are able to get some rest and physically heal soon!

Sorry for your loss. Mine was 11 days ago and it's finally starting to taper to nothing or just a pink tinge when I wipe. Hope it eases up for you soon.

Thanks ladies.  I'm just (impatiently) ready for this to be over.  Also, this is not the kind of cramps I usually have so it's kicking my arse.

I had my d&c on a Friday and only had light bleeding until the next Friday. My DR gave me a sheet saying if I experienced any heavy bleeding to get in touch. I hope things lighten up for you ASAP!

For me, the bleeding requiring a pad lasted for about 3-4 days and then a liner for spotting for another week.

Not quite two weeks but pretty light the second week.  When in doubt, call your dr!

I bled heavy for a day or two.  Light for the next week, then really heavy for a week.  Then it slowed down and was light and spotty for a week.  At my 2 week post op, my Ob said to call him if I bled for more than 3 days.  I think I spot the day I was going to call him.

Oh no that is totally normal!  My dr said some women bleed on & off until their cylce resumes.

As for me, 2.5 weeks.  At one point I barely spotted for 2.5 days so I thought it was done, but it resumed full force with clots.
