Davis is improving...I think!

The plan for this whole week, since the "good" neonatalogist is back on rotation, is to do every other feed by mouth and alternate with an NG feed to give him a break. Last night and the night before he took an ENTIRE bottle by mouth. When I feed him during the day, he usually takes 20-30 ml of a 44 ml bottle. I can't get him to do the whole thing - I'm not sure if he is just hungrier at night, or if he gets too comfy too quick when he's with me. When I came in this morning he was waving his arms and legs and SO alert and hungry, it was an amazing sight. I talked with the doctor about stretching him to 3 and a half hours to allow him more time to get hungry. I hope he is able to do every feeding by mouth soon so we are close to going home. For those of you that dealt with feeding issues, did it take awhile to get over this last hump or was it quick once they started getting it?
