We are avoiding it by going out of country. My DD's memorial service was the day before Father's Day last year, so DH and I are taking a vacation away from reality to endure the one yr anniversary of her death and Father's Day.
We didn't "celebrate" last year but I still wanted to be sure he knew he was a father. I got him a card and ordered him a rubber bracelet (like the Live Strong ones) that said "For you Logan, Love Daddy". He has worn it every day since.
Other than that, we just acted like it was a "normal" day. I don't remember what exactly we did, most likely had dinner with his parents.
I think for most men, it's just "another holiday" -- deep down I'm sure they feel the sting, but they're so good at keeping their emotions under control. It's frustrating sometimes.

We will likely do something with my family, like we did yesterday. We spend a lot of time with them anyway so it won't be new . But my dad has really done a lot for us and I know my dh is appreciative of him as well so we will celebrate them together.
