My son is almost 10 months and he is my third and probably final child. I need to start cding to save $$. However, since I won't be using on another baby would these cheaper diapers be ok?
Yes, they'd be okay. Plenty of people use them as their full stash for multiple children with no complaints.

I started cloth with my daughter when she was almost 11 months. We're still up in the air as to whether or not we'll have more kids, so I didn't want to spend a lot just in case. I went for it and just bought a bunch of Kawaii's. They've been great! I haven't had to use any creams or pastes with her, which is what made me want to switch in the first place. I currently have 22 diapers, we use them full time, and I wash every 2-3 days. I have probably spent $150 on everything- diapers, 3 wet bags, and a lidded trash can. I would easily spend that much on diapers over the course of a year, so even if she potty learns at 2 years, I'll still be ahead of the game.
You can also re-sell the diapers when you're done and re-coupe some of the money you spent. I think KaWaiis are good diapers but on the bulkier side, but my LO is tiny.

Have not used Alvababy but do have Kawaii. They both leaked the first time for us, so there was a bit of a learning curve.
I would suggest Tweedle Bugs and Imagine diapers. Both are available at nickisdiapers.com. Cheap and work well!

Most of our stash is made up of a combination of these two diapers. It took my LO a while to fit in them but they are ok for us.
