TTC after 35

sneaking on for some sneaky fx and hope!

Hi everyone...sorry I haven't been posting, but I've been lurking since my last BFN a few weeks ago.

I went through the HSG, lots of gross clomid, and 3 cycles of treatment all out of pocket and am out of hope. DH and I have decided to stop treatment and move on with our 5% chance, which to me means time to mourn not having a child together. He doesn't feel that way, and is still in the denial stage. So I don't want to confuse him by letting him know it's almost O time and I've got some nice CM for the first time in months. I've got a stirring of hope though. My RE said 80% of her patients get pregnant within 3 month of HSG. Maybe we still have a chance?

I've really moved on- discontinued my short term disability, got back into the gym (god that feels great!) and offered to travel next week for work.

But lemme tell ya, I wouldn't be sad at all if this just happened.

I sound a little crazy. Sorry, thanks for the support!

  • Fingerscrossed for you, I don't believe you should give up hope or dwell on the statistics at all. I think you still have a great chance of conceiving naturally :)

I'm in the same place with even lower odds (though we have one more IVF cycle) and my husband and I haven't been able to let go yet. I'm not sure if this is good or bad, but it is what it is.

  • My fingers are crossed that you are one of the 80%!

  • 80% is a good stat-- I'd focus on that one!  Smile Heck, I see people beat worse odds than that in the ICU all the time, and if they can do it, there is no reason you can't!

Give that uterus a pep talk! Caress her, tell her that you love her, and then let those spermies give her a little tickle! Go! Go! Go!

    FX!

  • I'm glad that you haven't given up!  I'm the type of person that I hate admitting defeat, no matter what it involves.  That could be why I ended up rupturing a disc in my neck last year, but who's keeping track. :)  FX that this is a good month for you!
