XP: Gym Mat Warning!

DH and my sister are currently doing the Insanity program at home.  DH and I just had hardwood floors put in and we immediately realized that we'll probably have to pick up some exercise mats for them to not make so much noise for our downstairs neighbors (we live in a condo). 

However, after looking at a few mats there is a disclaimer that is kind of alarming.  Here's the whole description:

"Gold's Gym 6-Piece Puzzle Mat: Protects floors while providing a comfortable workout area Made of odor-free EVA Easy to clean and durable. This product contains one or more chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm"

 

Does anyone know what the last sentence is all about?

This warning is on just about everything in the state of California.  You'll see signs in buildings/hotels with the same warning.  It's a matter of California being OVERLY litigious.

I agree with the pp, these signs are even posted in restaurants!  I wouldn't be too concerned unless you plan on licking the mat on a regular basis to injest said chemicals.  Haha
