The conversion to the new format just went live for the Nest national boards.  I have no ETA as to when the Bump national boards will change but I have a feeling we won't get any warning. 

When the change occurs - PLEASE POST ALL YOUR QUESTIONS IN ONE THREAD.  There are already some FAQ posts on the Mod Boards that I will link at that time.  Don't panic though...everytime there is a change everyone b!tches and then everyone gets over it and life moves on.  I'll get you through it! 

 Even though I haven't posted much lately I am reading so when the conversion occurs I'll be here.

Rumor has it that the Bump will convert next week.  If it goes any way at all like the Nest conversion sh!t will hit the fan.  Posts will be lost, boards will have errors, etc.

Here are few of the common questions coming up on the Nest so I'm going to share them now so you all don't have to ask when the conversion happens here:

Q: My post count is wrong, what happened to my status?

A:  Post counts will be normal once the conversion is over (except perhaps archived posts but that is being debated)

 

Q: How do I sort by last post?

A:  There is a box sandwiched between ads on the right hand side that says "My viewing preference - Sort by last activity".  Make sure that box is checked, and the posts will bump with new replies.

Does the new format really not have an icon to show whether there are new posts since I last read a thread?  (Like the little green one next to posts in the old format).  If not, that is really really really annoying.

Kershnic, there isn't an icon but the entire thread title goes from dark brown to light grey, so it's actually easier to tell when you've read a post. that's about the only good thing about the conversion as far as I can tell...

Hm, thanks Blue.  I didn't notice that on my phone.  I hope I just overlooked it rather than it not displaying right.  Off to check the nest.
