I just found out my best friend is about to be TTCAL!

I got a call from my best friend this morning and she told me that there's a good chance she'll be TTC again soon! She lost a baby a little over a year ago, before she even knew she was pg. I'm so excited to finally have someone IRL I can talk to about this. She's been having a really rough time trying to concieve over the past year (I'm trying not to give details, as it's her story and not mine and this IS the internet) and I'm so excited she'll finally be taking a step forward! This means we can be real life TTCAL buddies! Yay!

There's still one feeling I can't shake...and this makes me feel like a horrible person but...what if she gets pregnant and I don't? I don't think I can take yet another person surpassing me...I love her to death, and I would be so happy if this happens for her, but I would feel incredibly left out.

I know it feels like you can't take one more person getting pregnant before you, but it might happen and if it does you find a way to deal. Another day will come and you find a way to get through each one.

Every day i'm also grateful that I don't have MORE friends that are pregnant... Just 1 IRL.  and 2 at work (unplanned, unwanted. UGH)

I'm glad that you'll have someone IRL to confide in, as it does help a lot.  But keep in mind that if you were to get pregnant before her, she would likely feel the same way.  In an ideal world, you'll get pregnant at the same time.. but just lean on each other, provide lots of love, support and chocolate. I know we're both hoping for the best for each other, and I would feel terrible if I got pregnant before her, just like I know she would be if she got pregnant first. She finds out if she'll be able to start trying on October 14. This will be CD22 for me, and I'll be about a week away from finding out if this cycle worked for me. I wish our cycles matched up better, but I'll take it

How wonderful! It'll be great to have someone IRL to talk about everything with. But, I totally get where you're coming from - I'm worried that a friend who just started TTC is going to "beat" me, even though it's not a race. I feel awful about it, but I can't help feeling that way either. Just keep in mind that she may even be worried she'll be left behind when you get pregnant. (And I'll try to do that, too). :-)
