I just brought pictures. I used the PP visits (I had several because of my blood pressure) to relax. Ha ha, seriously, I'd almost nap on the exam table.

Ditto this exactly. My OB hasn't even had the privilege (hehe) of meeting mine since the day we were discharged!
My OB would have been so sad if I hadn't brought them. I brought them to both appointments and I need to send her new pictures.

My OB for my first actually reminds you to bring the baby to the appointment with you so I assumed that was standard. I have my pp appointment for the twins in a couple of weeks and was wondering if I should bring them. This doctors office hasn't told me to. I am curious to see what others have done of have been told to do.
I brought mine. I had no choice I had no one to watch them that day. It worked out fine and all the nurses passed them around...it was cute they LOVED it.

I brought them. I had been there so often and was getting twice weekly NSTs at the end and I always had the same nurse. She told me at my last visit that I had to bring the babies so she could meet them. Everyone in the office wanted to see them including my OB even though she saw them several times in the hospital.

I didn't. Like someone else said, it was my time to relax. I'm sure the nurses and my OB would've liked to see them (my OB didn't deliver me and the babies were in the NICU, so she never saw them), but they'll get over it. They see babies all day long, so I figure I'll let someone else bring their's!
I brought them to my 2 and 6 week pp visits. At my 6 wk visit, it was just me and the babies, no DH or other help. It went great.
I made sure to keep their carseats covered until we got to the back room since I had to parade them through a large medical tower building with tiny elevators and quite a variety of dr's offices and nosy (potentially ill) folks. (I have the JJ Cole carrier canopies.)
I brought my babies with me because I am a SAHM and didn't have anyone to watch them, not that I was anywhere near feeling comfortable with that anyway. The second PP visit was to get my IUD and I had to have an ultrasound prior so I knew it was going to be a long visit and the boys would need to be BF during that time. It ended up that I was BF one of the boys while my OB was putting in my IUD because she got held up with a patient prior to me and took longer to get in the room. No body cared and everyone was more than happy to hold the boys.

Yes, I did. They were a huge hit with the staff. I also didn't have much choice. My husband was working out of state, and I was by myself. The OB did remind me to be sure to bring them, so ...it's probably standard.
DH, the babies and I all went. The OB seemed glad to see them. (And DH had come to all my appts and they had hit it off so DH actually really wanted to come.)
I took both mine and plan to take these babies if their health allows me too. Besides the OB the nurses there LOVE it! They rarely get the baby view and seeing them for weeks during my appointments they really do just love it! They even offer to watch over them while the exam is going on!
So I guess it depends on the relationship you have with your dr. office. I have been there for years and the staff has pretty much stayed the same.
