Adoption

If you created your profile yourself...

...what program did you use?  My SIL did our profile using Photoshop Elements. Our profile is in need of a facelift, but I don't want to go through my SIL again.  She did a great job, but I'd rather do it myself on my own time without having to go through/depend on a third party.  I do not have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.  Is that the best program to use?

  • I did it on scrapblog. If that hadn't worked out, I had a backup version in PowerPoint

I just used word so that pictures could have text wrap around it.  I did it landscape style.

How long is your profile.  We used shutterfly so it had to be at least 20 pages.

  • We used Mixbook..It was super easy. I am a paperscrapbooker. So the transition was scary. However, the prgoram was so easy.

Blurb is another great tool. We haven't done ours yet, but that is probably what we will use. I used it for some clients (I am a graphic designer) and the books are excellent quality.

  • We used shutterfly and got lots of compliments on how great our profile was!
  • I used Mixbook.  It is very easy and they have nice layouts.  Just be aware that it will have to be at least 20 pages.
  • Shutterfly as well!
  • We used picaboo online for our profile.

I used Photoshop from the Adobe CS3.  I had to purchase it when I went to school for design, and it's come in really handy.  We get a ton of compliments on our profile, and I was able to use the standard format of our profile (our agency only allows one page front and back) as the template of our blog and all fundraising materials I've printed.
