    EXACTLY! Selfish hor. She would throw that necklace over for her own darn satisfaction.

    ETA: This is a healthy argument. 4 pages later and we're still talking about the same thing. Good job ladies.

    I nurtured an unhealthy obsession with Victor Garber as a direct result of Titanic.

    Have you heard that man sing? I swear I need to sit on a towel every time.

    NO.

    I will have to YouTube it.

    You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK.  Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.

    I watched ET in the theaters...the first time it was released.

    Me too. It was my first movie in a theater.

    My parents wouldn't let me go see that movie when it came out because of the naked drawing scene and sex in the car scene. I was pisssed. I was definetly old enough. All my friends went together and I felt like a fool.

    That's all I think about when I think about Titanic. I'm still bitter about it, obviously.

    This makes me feel old. I was in college when this movie came out.

    James Cameron and George Lucas can DIAF.

    I feel very strongly about this.

    After GL fcvked with Star Wars, I was done with him.

    Yeah, and then Speilberg was all like, "I'm going to fuuuuuck with Raiders of the Lost Ark" and I started sharpening my shiv.

    AND THEN HE FCVKED WITH E.T. OMG. I NEARLY WENT TO HOLLYWOOD AND STABBED HIS ASS.

    But kids and guns though

    I never understood the ET love...My husband almost didn't marry me because of it.

     ::prepares to be cut::

    ::updates post-it::

    Add my name to that post-it as well. I don't understand E.T.

    "Not understanding" as opposed to simply claiming "that movie sucks!" are two entirely different things, IMO. You can not care for something yourself while respecting its influence enough to know that just because YOU didn't like it doesn't mean it sucks.

    I'm not a huge U2 fan. I think Bono's a freakin' douche. But I respect their influence in music.

    But E.T. is way better than that douchebag Bono.

    Let me rephrase, I also don't understand the so called influence a movie about a green fingered alien had on US society. But, that could be because I didn't grow up here.
    I grew up here.  See above...I don't get it either.  I don't think it was a terrible movie, but I only watched it once as a child and I was disappointed.  I never felt the need to rewatch it.  ::shrugs::
