I kind of hate them when worn as a shirt with pants.
They're okay as a summertime one-piece outfit on an infant. (I'm on the fence as to whether the baby legs with onesie look is cute...)
I LOVE them as a layering piece in cooler weather and will be sad when DD is fully potty trained and can't wear them anymore. I always put a onesie on her under her shirt because it keeps her belly covered when she gets picked up and gives her an extra, non-bulky layer to keep her warm.
Totally love them. DS was born in the summer and he basically lived in onesies. Not to mention, they are super cheap compared to other "fancy" outfits. Like all babies, DS was outgrowing them like crazy, and was peeing/pooping/spitting up on them all the time. I wasnt sad if I had to trash any of them.
Never used them! I think we were gifted 2 or 3 and my son wore one of them once. I always dressed him in cute matching outfits (shorts & a shirt, jon jons, etc), never just a onsie. Baby clothes are too cute to just stick a baby in a onsie!
I loved them until DS started to walk at 9 months......and then they just got annoying..... Between jeans/pants and the onesie buttons, that was a whole lot of effort to change a diaper! But when they are immobile, it's nice because nothing rides up when you pick them up.

I stopped using them around 10 months. I do like them for babies/infants because t-shirts ride up too much. Once they start walking, no more onesies.
We used them with DD long after walking - I loved them under dresses and with her pants so her skin around her tummy stayed covered regardless of what she was doing. I think we bought them up to 2T sizes, maybe 3. I prefered onesies to little trunks/diaper covers that come with a lot of little girl dresses anyway.
Love them. JT still wears them - just bought him 24m sizes.
Even when it's warm out - they sell the tank top arm ones. I can't stand when his belly hangs out when we pick him up. I always put another shirt over top though.
When it's way hot, it absorbs the sweat...although with him running around I may skip them in the dead heat of summer.

Eh, I am kind of ambivalent but lean more toward the "pro onesie" side. I like them definitely for around the house and dont find it annoying or anything to unsnap them. My favorite outfits for my son were the little onesie/shorts romper things. They were the easiest way to make him look kind of "put together" when we left the house but without all the layers. The annoying thing about onesies to me is that I dont think they look like a complete outfit, so I always felt like I had to put a onesie on him and then put shorts on the bottom. So I had more steps for diaper changes. If I was having a girl I think I would just go straight to dresses and skip the onesies. I do like the long footed sleepers for the really newborn stage. And then kind of skip straight to the shorts romper onesie things when he is older.
For NB I loved the little gowns. Also when it was hot I loved just putting a onesie on for around the house. Now they are great for bedtime because lately DD likes to strip her diaper off. She hasn't figured out how to get the snaps off yet so she is safe to sleep in a onesie.

I somehow read the title of this post as "oreos." I was going to confess my love for double stuffed Oreos...
But onesies, I hate em. I'll be sticking with the kimono style ones this time around.

I was reading to hear opinions on onesies (I *think* I'll like them).
But now I REALLY want Oreos!
I still consider these onesies. The kimono style ones were great for us to use in the beginning too.
Well now I want Oreo's too.
I may need to go out soon
