What is Clomid? How does it help?
I'm just wondering, because it's never been brought up in any of my discussions with my Drs and I don't want to find out 6 months from now that I should have asked for it now.
I am a lot unfamiliar with the treatments everyone else is undergoing, because I mentioned ealier, I haven't been given any options other than DE. But I don't know what to ask for either.
Thanks,
P

Re: Clomid
I'm 42. My cycle is like clockwork as well, and I've had 2 MCs this year.
We are only trying natural conception, as it was our only option, and I am frustrated because it's such a crap shoot everymonth and hit and miss trying to figure out when exactly the window is.
I was given the progestrone for use after conception, and told "it probably won't do anything to help but make you feel better" !
I'm going to ask about Clomid and see what he says.

Clomid helps produce FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), so it's typically prescribed for women who are not ovulating. However, there is research that shows it also helps in cases of unexplained infertility (which is why my doc prescribed it for me).
