What can you recommend?

I would like a nice shampoo. Right now I have some John Freida I think.  A red bottle, I don't remember the name of it.   Between DH and I using it, it is just about time to get some more shampoo and I wanted to try something I have not tried before.  What is your favorite? and why??  Big Smile

  • I have aveeno naturals and I love it. It's so thick and rich and makes my hair so smooth and soft. Not horribly expensive either, pretty sure you can buy it target. I've tried my fair share of expensive shampoos and tend to be rather disappointed.

  • My hair currently loves Aussie brand stuff, which is great, easy to find, and cheap. Before pregnancy, I'd splurged at the end of last school year and bought Bumble and Bumble Cheme de Coco, which isn't cheap at all, but is truly wonderful. My hair loves it and it smells delish.

  • Redken So Smooth. It's a little costly BUT so worth it. It's super concentrated so you don't have to use a lot.

Hmm, I'm gonna check that out.  Gosh I dont think I've tried Aussie (The Aussie Philosophy-hehe) for such a long time!  I'm interested in trying both you mentioned!  Thanks for the recommendation!

And thanks to everyone else too!  :)

  • I always use a few at a time and switch it up during the week.  Right now Dove energize, it's citrus and smells amazing through out the day (plus it was 50% off so I got huge bottles for $4), I also use Suave professionals, I love them now.  They really have done a great job with the new ones.  And Tresseme, My hair has always loves it.
  • My everyday shampoo is Tresemme Smooth & Silky. It's got a great lather & is a good bargain.

My mom got me Matrix Shampoo & Conditioner along with a finishing oil recently & it is really really nice. My hair was so silky & shiny. I save it for special occasions, lol.

I use tousle me softly by herbal essences.  It smells wonderful and doesn't weigh my thin hair down.

Hubby uses Dove moisturizing cucumber and green tea, he has extremely thick hair.

I do not recomment Suave or Finesse.  Sometimes you do have to pay more for good products.  Unfortunately we can't afford the salon products.

Really?  Right now I'm using Suave Rosemary & Mint, which is their copy of an Aveda shampoo... their copies of salon versions tend to be really good- I've tried the redken copy too.  The active ingredients are exactly the same, and they get them as close to what the professionals use as possible.  Plus they're like 2 bucks a bottle.

You know what, you gave me a great idea.  Maybe that is what I need, a special occasion shampoo and conditioner.  I never really thought of the that!  I bought a brand new hairbrush and learned to blow-style my hair so I'm taking some steps to get back to me again (after a rough semester of school and last years pregnancy).  I think a couple new shampoos and a good hair lotion would do the trick, thanks!
