Thought I'd share my DH's NIAW status...(lol)

Ok, so two days ago my DH and I were talking and I asked him if was going to participate in FB statuses about NIAW. He said he wanted to but he didn't want to hijack mine. I was like, don't be silly, silly! For the record, he's never really been open at all on FB about it but he will talk about it and be open if talking in person with someone.

Anyway...the last couple of days he has just been C&Ping mine. His sister and I were joking last night that he should write his own...well...he did. This is his status today (I had to censor for the bump's filters): 

It is National Infertility Awareness Week and Infertility can go f*** itself. We have been struggling for 5 years. I have spent more money than I care to admit on this problem. If anyone out there has gone through this, or is going through this, I would love to hear feedback on what has or hasn't worked. I am done beating my head against the wall and staying silent on the issue, I am all ears.

Good for him!!!  What a great statement!  I know it's hard for husbands to deal with because they don't have people to talk with like we do.  My DH talked w/ other women he knows because he had no clue how to help/deal with me.

Awww, thanks you guys!!! I got busy last night and am just checking back in now. I will be showing him this thread and I'm sure he'll be quite proud of himself

I love how open he is becoming with this. I really don't know what exactly was the trigger but with this last failed cycle, it's like he's just...over it - in the same way that I've been frustrated for the last few years. I think that now all of his friends are lapping us and it's taking a toll. Before he was the only one trying. Whatever the trigger was, I love having this side of him. I really am a lucky girl. I him so much.

He got a few comments from people he hasn't talked to in years just wishing him well and saying they will keep us in their prayers. No "tips" but we didn't think anything of it.

Thanks again everyone. I told him that he made a lot of people proud. He rolled his eyes at me but he smiled so I think it meant a lot to him too.
