Triple nipple cream - how fast does it work?

I was just prescribed this yesterday afternoon. My OB and LC both recommended pumping to let my nipples heal a little. (nursing has been horribly painful)

Has anyone used this? How long does it take to start helping? I'm anxious to start Breastfeeding again.

    I got some of this in the hospital, and just got it refilled. I'm not healed completely, but I am able to nurse with no pain after a week of using it. I wasn't having a ton of pain before, but had mastitis twice due to cracks/ sores on the nipples.

    I've been nursing, and I pump once most days. DS is getting bigger and better at latching, so he hasn't been making it worse.
