has LO made you *lol*?

Babies do the cutest things. Has your little one done anything that made you laugh out loud? If so, share!

My LO and I just couldn't get the latching down to BF, so I have been pumping. It wasn't til day 5 that I was finally getting enough milk to fill him. He lost 15 oz in the first 4 days...but wasn't screaming in hunger. He just slept ALL the time. Day 5 he decided he had enough. So, as much as it broke my heart, I decided to give him some formula, since he was screaming his poor little heart out. DH brought me a bottle (just after giving LO the breast milk I had pumped) and I put the nipple in LO's mouth. He took a big gulp, then spit out the nipple. He wrinkled up his nose, closed his left eye and twisted his lips....as if to say "what the hell was that?!?!". He quit crying and went to sleep. The next time I pumped, thank goodness, I got a lot more milk!!! No more formula for my little man. When I remember this, it still makes me chuckle....

Re: has LO made you *lol*?

  • My baby has cracked me up when I burp her and she continues to bring up her head and root for my face.  Great head control for such a youngin, though!  :)

  •  you know in Mrs. Doubtfire when Daniel was at the unemployment office, and they asked him what his skills were, and one of the skills was "I do a great impression of a hot dog"? Joanna does a great impression of a hot dog.

  • My LO also does a scrunchy face. If you try and give him his paci or try and get him to latch to eat and he doesn't want it. He will purse his lips, wrinkle up his nose, and give me the stink eye.

  • Baby farts that invoke the startle reflex are good for a laugh, but when he farts in his sleep loud enough to wake him up and give a silly (painless) whimper, I lose it!

I also love when he decides that he doesn't want burped anymore and takes a nose dive to the other side of my chest looking for a nipple. When people hold him on their shoulder, we have to warn them of his escape technique.

  • Mia does some cute things too.  Sometimes she starts to choke a little when breastfeeding and when I pull her into a sitting position to help her she gets so pissed off that I took her off that her whole face gets red and she screams, "Gheeeeeeee" (hard G).  It cracks me up every time.

She also has some amazing loud farts that wake her up.  Hilarious!

  • Today my little man had an "up the back" poop and just as I got that cleaned up, he took advantage of his uncovered pee-pee and shot a stream of pee up over his head...followed by a sound that he normally makes when satisfied after eating like "uh, uh, uh".  lol

    cracked me up.

  • Every time we burp Emerson, she puts her arms straight out and extends all her fingers- it almost looks like she's going to dive into a pool. It's cute.

During a diaper change today, we were getting ready to clean up a large poop and when my husband went to wipe her, she had projectile pee come out. I've never seen a baby girl do that!
