I know being a new mom comes with lack of sleep because of LO. My problem is l just don't know how to shut down and be able to sleep. She sleeps 3-4 hours at a time, but l can not force myself to sleep when she does. My sister even watched her for a while today to see if l could sleep but any little thing would wake me up and then l couldn't go back to sleep. Please help and give me some advice.
Re: sleep deprivation
It sounds really cheesy but I turn on the sleep sheep for myself! I also try to do some deep breathing and try to relax my whole body. Even if I put the tv on just to have some background noise it helps.
Naps have become easier over the last few days though. Even if it was just for a cat nap or an extra hour here and there. I also found once I ate a bit more and upped my fluids I was able to relax more.

I had a really hard time sleeping after DS was born and I used the Sleep Sheep too. It worked really well for me.
