We had a great weekend. DW did not go to the library all weekend. It was awesome to have her around again. It gave me a glimpse of how it could be again! I see the light at the end of the tunnel and it makes me very happy! Sat we got up and then went to a nice park. It was nice to chat with dw and other moms while E played. We came home had lunch and then E napped while we picked up the house. After nap E and I played in the back yard with the water table and other toys which was fun. We had a friend over for dinner and then watched dvr shows. Sunday we got up and went to the zoo. E enjoyed herself but it was a little hot for dw and I. E fell asleep in the car and so she never napped. Booo. So I convinced dw we should go and return something at the mall. That worked out well and E asked to go to a restaurant. Which was very funny so we went and she was great. Best meal out in a long long time!
I am on vacation this week and E does not have daycare today so we are hanging out and trying not to get too hot.

Friday - I ditched work earlier to run errands and prep the house for DD's birthday party.
Saturday - Birthday party! Babies included I think we had 11 kids and 12 adults which was just the right size. It appeared that everyone had a good time (I really hope they did) and I'm glad all of DDs toys finally got some use :-)
Sunday - A friend watched DD so that K and I could go get massages. After massages (and some time in the sauna) we went to lunch at a yummy Indian restaurant. That was followed by a bit of bulk shopping and a trip to Macy's. Then we picked up the Jelly Bean, went home for dinner, bath and bed.

Friday we all got home late, grilled burgers, and ate outside. We tried
to watch Extremely Loud and Incredible Close from Redbox, but the disc
was messed up (first bad disc in 6y, not bad!)
Saturday after the
kids swimming and L's water aerobics, L had a pedicure at the gym. We
headed to Baltimore thinking we'd go to the Science Museum (we have a
membership and the kids love it, so we often go for an hour here and
there) and then have a late lunch. But when I started calling restaurants
at 2pm, everyone was still on a 60-90m wait. Headed to closer to home and ate
there. When we got home, L went to rest and because it was so nice out,
I took the kids to the playground. There were a bunch of other kids
there and some very talkative parents, so we ended up staying for 2hrs
which thrilled the kids to no end! Home for dinner and an early bedtime
for the kids. We finally watched Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
which was slow, but I still sobbed.
Sunday morning we were all
pissy. Went out for breakfast and did a couple of geocaches
that we could walk to. We had the kids paint their tiles for the mirror
(we have a mirror in the playroom that has tiles around it and each
year the kids paint a new tile to go in it.) Went home to rest and then
went on a hike in the wildlife preserve in our neighborhood (we've lived
there 8y and never done that!) Over to Target. When we got home L had a
work call and I grilled dinner. Kids went to bed early again and we
watched DVR.
Another good weekend here. L being home stint is quickly coming a close. She's been home every weekend for nearly 2m, it is going to be a rough adjustment for everyone to go back to being gone 2-3 weekends a month.
Saturday we did errands/cleaning/lazing about the house. DW also made biscuits for breakfast and more challah to be ready for Sunday French toast. Yum. Saturday night we went to see Hunger Games, which was quite enjoyable.
Sunday we ate our French toast and then went to the shore for the day. The weather was gorgeous and I got a little tan, woo hoo. We walked on the boardwalk and read books on the beach and I dipped my toes in and we ate dinner at our favorite restaurant in that area. More weekend days like that please!!

Cautiously optimistic.
Friday: I did movie afternoon with the kids (I still can't believe we have 5 kids) and then we went out to dinner before dropping A off at her Dad's house. We stopped at a couple stores on the way home to get clothes for Owl, Apple, and Monster. Home and bedtime for everyone.
Saturday: J went in to work at 7am, I did a ton of laundry and let the kids run rampant in the house. We went out for dinner again, then stopped by the IL's for a bit. Home and bed.
Sunday: I sent J shoppi.g for a gift and had her take the kids while I showered and got ready for the party. They we gone for a couple hours which was a nice little break for me, I got to search for a theme for Apple's birthday party while they were gone.
We went to the party and got too much "advice" about our kids and family. The kids had fun but it was torture for me, my IL's ignore pretty much everything we say and do in regards to our kids. MIL offered to hold Apple while we fed the other kids, next thing I hear is J's sister giggling and telling us that MIL is feeding Apple beans, not only was it beans but bean with chorizo, lots of oil, cheese, and jalapenos. I was mad! We haven't fed her proteins yet, let alone anything else that was in the beans. J's sister saw that I was mad and laughed saying that she was joking but I knew better. We left the party a little bit later and went shopping for the kids again. Home and bed for the kids, A came home and went to bed, J and I stayed up to watch DVR shows before going to bed.
Monday: Found undigested beans in Apple's diaper...
Fri: DW was supposed to get off early, yeah didn't happen. I fed Ky and picked up some thigns arounf the house. DW frinally got home and we ran to grab some take out. SHe was not as gung ho on the scary movie as before so we watched some comedy.
Sat: We left around the same time and I went to my mom's house to pick her up for the sale. The sale was awesome! The line was like checking out on black friday but we got some amazing deals! Lunch at five.guys. Then we stopped by the mall since a department store was having a huge end of winter clearance. Got some more awesome deals there. My kid stripped in the middle of the store so she could put on a "kitty" shirt she saw. We convinced her to get dressed so she could carry the kitty shirt to pay for it. She napped while my mom and I sorted stuff into my house/my brother's house. I went home and cleaned while Ky played with her new baby doll crib. Ann came home and we went to the mall to wander and shop. Home for a LATE dinner and bed.
Sun: Ky was up early despite the late night. We all got up and I did some laundry. We got ready and went to my in-laws. Ky napped in the car (of course) so she was ready to go! She played with cousin R and we tried to get both girls to take naps while we played cards. No luck with Ky so she sat and colored/snacked while we played. After cards we packed up and headed home. Sat on the couch and watched Amazing Race while folding laundry before bed.
Friday:- We ended up having mixed up left overs for dinner and chilling at home.
Saturday:- I spent most of the day doing grocery shopping and picked up some baking trays and icing nozzles as well as the finishing touches for the sleep sack I sewed for my friend's baby. Got home and watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua Two. V has PCOS and was having a very painful and therefore immobile afternoon after thatching our friend's lawn, so I thought the movie would cheer her up - it did
Sunday:- I went to Yoga, V went to a softball sign up. We met for lunch at a dive bar where the team had signed up, then headed home to meet V's cousin's wife for sewing. Last night I made a big pot of lentil soup for tonight and for the freezer. Yum!

Friday - home early from work. I needed some time after major bad news. I'll just say the immigration system in this country sucks a**.
Saturday: Slow morning. Had lunch at a Mexican place in the city we're moving to (it wasn't great, unfortunately), then headed to the house to do some work. I finished my Sneetch star machine sketch and started to paint. K did some work in the yard.
Sunday: Slow morning again. Took J out while K graded, then he took a looooong nap (so did I!). K took a short nap and graded. When everyone was up, we went to a little Mexican place close to home for lunch to make up for yesterday's food. It. Was. Yummy! Then we headed to the house and K put up two panels on the fence, and I did some painting.
Today: Holiday, and what a glorious day it is! It feels like a nice summer day. We woke up at the crack of dawn because we had a delivery from L.ow.es at the new place at 7:30. Who the heck delivers at 7:30 a.m.? To make matters worse, they brought the wrong thing. A floor sample with parts missing. Yeah, thanks, but no. We'll head back there in a bit to get the right thing. K is on her bike now, enjoying the day, and I am, well, Bumping. Thinking of ctbride and her lovely family today!
Friday - Had plans to meet friends for a beer, but spontaneously decided to do dinner at their place instead. Dinner was great and we had a good time hanging out. They live in the suburbs so we got home late late and headed to bed.
Saturday - Slept in, lazy morning. Went out for lunch to get bahn mi (yum) and then headed to Joanns and Target. Got home around 5 and took a nap before leaving for a friend's karaoke birthday party. Birthday party was great, I had a bit too much to drink, and once again we were out super late. It's like we're getting it out of our system before TTC.
Sunday - woke up paying the price for the night before, which then turned into a full on migraine. C did some cleaning and crafting while I sat in a dark room and grumped about her making too much noise. We went out to run errands and went to Chinatown to this noodle place that had pretty much any Asian food you could want. Came home, C crafted more while I made a list of infant daycares to visit since I have time now when I'm unemployed. Both my mom and my BFF are like "you need to be ready to get on waiting lists the second you are pregnant", which unfortunately, is pretty true in the city. We watched Grey's Anatomy and a documentary about tornados, then C went to bed early while I made massive to do lists for the week.
Same sex couple TTC with donor sperm. I am 35 and carrying. Endometriosis and DOR. AMH 0.5, AFC 5-8, FSH 7ish
Friday - I made cheesy mashed potatoes and barbecue kielbasa for dinner after J got home from work. After dinner, we went to one of her coworker's apartments. Her and her husband are expecting and wanted to show us the finished nursery. It was really cute and we all had a great time.
Saturday - J had to work all morning, so I did laundry and a little cleaning until she got home. She had a crummy day at work, so we went out for happy hour with one of our close friends and then to dinner at an awesome nearby sandwich shop. It was a great night.
Sunday - J didn't have to work until 11:30, so we were able to hang out together for a couple hours before she had to head in. On her way to work, she dropped me and the pup off at a friends house. We had a 'puppy play date' for our dogs and caught up while watching horrible lifetime movies and eating junk food. I came home and made grilled cheese for dinner and waited for J to get home from work. When she did, we cut up a fresh pineapple that we were letting ripen. Awesome late night snack!
Today - J had to go to work early, so I hope to get some deep cleaning done in the kitchen and (hopefully) our bedroom.
Hello there ladies...it was a LOOONG meeting last week in San Francisco for me and I missed being here bumping. The hotel supposedly had free Wi-Fi but I could not get a good signal so I could sign in from my tablet...boo! And I had to share a room with a non-stop talking gum smacking gal who works in a different office but is technically my lead. I couldn't wait to be home!
In better news...the house closed on Thursday. FINALLY!!! I picked up a key on my way home from the airport Saturday night and went to the house by myself and had a nice moment of taking it all in. I'm a homeowner!!!
Sunday morning E came home from her dad's and I could tell she was overtired already. I ordered blinds for the three windows I need them for in the house. Then we ran errands to the homo.depot and the grocery store. And then we had to stop to find temporary hair color because E's school has spirit week this week and today is crazy hair day and her dad had talked up coloring her hair but of course didn't bother to purchase said color. $11 later at the drugstore and we had pink and blue sprays which I'm hoping will wash out tonight.
K worked Sat and was on call through Sunday. She text me in the morning saying she had a headache and was going to lay low. But after a few hours she was feeling better and rallied to come over and we took her to see the inside of the house for the first time. We talked a lot about decorating, things we can do to spruce up the yard, etc. It was a sunny day so we took E to the park for a bit. Then we went home for steaks on the BBQ. E snuggled up with K on the couch to watch a movie while I was making dinner. E asked K if she will be her mommy too. I could not believe my ears! Darn kid doesn't mince words. And K didn't miss a beat...she asked E if she'd like that and E said yes and K said with two mommies you'll get twice as much love! It was a great ending to a short weekend!
Just as advertised. My mom came over on Saturday and we got about 5 or 6 dishes done off my freezer list, and then she went home while I went to the cloth diapering class. It was very informative and I'm sold; unfortunately, Jen didn't go b/c she is supposed to be restricting her activities, but I brought home the handouts and told her all about it and I think she is really feeling open-minded about it now. I bought two newborn and two regular size Bum Genius Freetimes. We aren't planning on using cloth for the newborn stage, but they're SO ADORABLE and I figured two wouldn't hurt I would really like to use AIOs so we're going to try out the Flips and the Freetimes and see what we like before stocking up. (That is, if we like it once we're actually diapering, and not just looking at cute diapers ) I did more cooking once I got home, but it wasn't as fun by myself and I was cranky. I got 4 more dishes done and in the freezer.
I weeded the garden on Sunday morning, which was hilarious b/c I have no idea what I'm doing, and just looked at pictures of common weeds on the internet and then went out there with my trowel and dug things up. I THINK that I now have a garden full of strawberry plants (and some grass I was too lazy to dig out), so we'll see what happens. My mom came over afterward and we knocked out a bunch of dishes. She left around 7p and I spent a year thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and went ahead and threw together a sweet potato casserole while I was doing it. All in all we got 24 dishes into the freezer this weekend. I have three more soups, pork chops, and blueberry syrup left to make and then I'll be done with my list. After that I'm just going to go to Trader Joe's and buy frozen meals to fill the rest of the deep freeze (if there is any room left - it's getting pretty crowded.)
In better news...the house closed on Thursday. FINALLY!!! I picked up a key on my way home from the airport Saturday night and went to the house by myself and had a nice moment of taking it all in. I'm a homeowner!!!

well, aside from my cycle starting on Saturday (damn it), we were super busy working on our kitchen remodel. Saturday we just tried to work as much as we could with a toddler running around and climbing all over us. Sunday my parents took him so we could work all day without worrying about him, and my sister came over to help.
here is what we got done: all the ugly wallpaper down and the wall cleaned, moved the HUGE TV and the entertainment center that were in the dining area down into the basement, pulled up the laminate floor in the dining area and took it all downstairs (we're going to replace the floor that got destroyed in the flood with what we took out from upstairs once we're done with the kitchen), and finished getting the last of the old kitchen floor up. we also taped out where the new cabinets will be going so we can run the new electric where it needs go.
we have so much still to do, but we got a LOT done so we're feeling pretty good, albeit exhausted.

Thanks CT, you are too sweet to say that amidst all that's going on for your family. I have told some dear friends your story and it's always met with much admiration. Hugs to you all...

We aren't planning on using cloth for the newborn stage, but they're SO ADORABLE and I figured two wouldn't hurt
I would really like to use AIOs so we're going to try out the Flips and the Freetimes and see what we like before stocking up. (That is, if we like it once we're actually diapering, and not just looking at cute diapers
) I did more cooking once I got home, but it wasn't as fun by myself and I was cranky.
YAY and YAY!!!!!! so happy for you!
Blogs: Our Growing Family - CT Working Moms

well, aside from my cycle starting on Saturday (damn it), we were super busy working on our kitchen remodel.
