Brooke truly smiled at 1 week old, not the gas induced kind, and I will fight that story to the end! But she didn't start socially smiling until she was around 2 months old. That was the point when she would spend more time focusing on people and their face rather than objects and light fixtures in the room.
DS would smile at his mobile or in his sleep around 6 weeks and started smiling at us around 7. He did his first belly laugh last night. It was so cute!

I love belly laughs. They are so genuine.

Elise was 3 weeks (2 weeks and 6 days), but that seems really early. I have pictures to prove it, though! She was smiling at the doctor at her 3 week checkup. I think because she was a week late, she hit some early milestones a little earlier than usual.
