First Years miPump Question

In the directions it says to boil the valves every single time. Do any of the moms who have used this pump in the past follow that direction? I boiled it for the first time, but have been super careful about cleaning it with soap and water for all the others. I haven't used it for harvesting usable milk yet, just for softening up the old gals for nursing.

What have you done?

I had just planned to put them in my steam sterilizer once a day and wash them the other times.

Is that a microwave steam sterilizer? In the directions it says not to sterilize any part of the pump in the microwave. I couldn't tell if that meant any of the parts, or only the mechanical pump part...

I sterilized it before first use and then just used soap and water.
