I haven't had much time to bump because of my last minute search for a nanny. I had made arrangements for this last summer, but it didn't work out. I've had a lot of great success with Sittercity & Care.com. I have intreviewed 4 people, 3 of which we really liked, 1 of which really stood out as the one! My boss is also going to be flexible because the 1 we really like has a few weeks of scheduling issues.
I also talked to a coworker about pumping at work. I work at a pediatric hospital and she told me that the LC that work for our NICU will help me at work. I knew I'd have a mother's room to use with a pump, but didn't realize I'd have access to LC support too. Such a relief!
Finally, my healthy monday check-in didn't happen this week, but I got on the scale today, before nursing, and I was back at my pre-pregnancy weight. Granted my clothes aren't close to fitting yet, the number still felt really good to see (especially since I ate crap all weekend due to the stress of the nanny mess).
Hope everyone is doing well, I know the board has been slow, sure everyone is getting busier. I've been especially thinking about Sammi and baby Ellie being home - so if you're reading this, let us know how it's going!
Re: Few good things for a change
What a great update! So happy things are falling into place!
I loved knowing I had access to a LC at work as well. Haven't needed her yet, thank goodness
