As I posted a few days ago, were moving soon, so I'm trying to get ideas for dd's new room. Right now her room is green, and while I love it, I'm not sure I want to paint it the same color. If we have another lo I think I'd want to do their room green (especially if we don't find out what we are having).
So, what color is your dd's room, is there a theme? (ie, butterflies, flowers, owls?) Do you love the color or would you have gone lighter darker?
Bonus points if you can post a pic for me.
Thanks!!
Re: What color is your DD's room?
I don't think I'll be much help, their room is green! I love the color and don't plan on changing it until DD#2 is 2-3 years old.
The wall color is a light green and accented with pink, white and yellow. It has a bird theme.
Here are some pictures. The walls are a bit bare becuase we recently rearranged the room when we added DD's toddler bed and I haven't finished the letters for above their beds.

What color is that green? I LOVE it. I'm really thinking I need to do green again, everything I'm finding I keep thinking how great it will look with green!!
Right now dd's room is a bright green (Its benjamin moore (I think) green relaxation) so I guess I could do a lighter green for her and a brighter green for the next lo, if we have one.
Tegan's room is currently a light yellow color and doesn't really have a theme. For whatever reason, I'm just not that into decorating and, unfortunately, my lack of interest means that Tegan's room is pretty dull.
However, this summer, I plan on attempting to redo her bedroom. We will be moving her out of her crib and into a toddler bed and I figure it's the perfect opportunity to repaint and finally decorate her room. I do plan on giving Tegan the opportunity to have some say in her room. I'll probably give her 2-3 color choices and 2-3 theme choices. We'll see how it goes!
It's sterotypically pink. But I actually love pink and was so thrilled to have a girl that I couldn't stay away. I did a sort of very mild French-feel, fashion-related theme with black and white. It's actually very nice. It should easily grow with her in that it's not too babyish.
Can't post a pic, but here is a link (sorry not clicky):

It is Pickling Spice by Pittsburgh Paint. I don't know if you have Menards where you live, but that is where we bought it.

Thanks for all the feedback!
I found a few quilts/comforters that I like. Now to narrow it down a bit. I don't plan on converting her out of her crib just yet, but I'd like to know what I'm going to do so I can paint her room and then not have to re-do it.

DD1-purple and baby blue-Tinkerbell/fairies theme
DD2-mint green w/ 3 shades of pink polka-dots
we rent so we had to take what we got and her room is actually a dark teal: https://finallymom.blogspot.com/2011/12/waking-up-to-balloons.html
fortunately, we had all white furniture (we moved just before she turned 8 months old) and it actually works well and looks nice, i think. i'm not crazy about the color in general, but i like the white with it so it's all good.

The girls room is pink with one green accent wall. The only thing we had hanging on the wall was their names in letters above their cribs.
They are now in a bed but we kept their names on the wall. And since their comforter set is lady bugs, I bought wall decals of ladybugs and decorated a couple of their walls with that.
