Tonight was the first night of stims... it took me and 45 minutes just to lay everything out and hype myself up into doing them. First I started with the Lupron since I am a pro at that now. Then I got my follistim pen ready and started freaking out so I told my DH I needed his help. He asked me if I wanted him to do it and I told him no I just want you to watch me...lol but it did help cause I eventually did it, and then did the menopur and it wasnt as bad as I expected. Definitley used the advice from others and used a heating pad for menopur. I am really glad that this is all finally happening. Getting excited but nervous all at the same time!
Were you more excited or nervous when you started stims?
Re: First night of Stims....

Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!
Baby boy Henry born 2015.
Expecting our capstone baby (boy) early March 2018.
Great job! I remember laying the meds out the first night and feeling very overwhelmed (actually the most overwhelming moment was getting the box delivered and opening it up for the first time). Then I freaked out about whether or not to use all the the liquid for the menopur, and called the on-call pharmacist
It definitely gets easier. The hardest part is running out of spots where you don't already have a pin-prick and/or bruise as the days go on.
I remember the month on bc I was super excited just to get things started, and then once I started the 2nd month, I got more nervous, because I knew we would know our fate in about a month's time. It's such an anxiety-filled time, but stay positive!! Good luck
