When my mom comes to visit and does it for me.

Usually once a year.  I put it into 'retirement' when it starts hitting 80 most of the time, and then give it a scrubdown in October when I start using it again.  I also put down a huge sheet of foil on the bottom so that if I do have a disaster I can just throw that away instead of scrubbing it off.

When I moved in. I don't think the woman before me ever did. EVER. And she lived her a long long time.

However, if I had one of those new ones that did self-cleaning (which I had at an old apartment) then I would more often.

I will if I HAVE to. But that's it.
