37 weeks, spotting, cramping, and lower back pain after intercourse

Ok so I'm 37 weeks and having this light pink spotting. Also I'm having cramping (cintractions from what my ob has told me before) along withsime lower back pain. The back pain only comes with the contractions. Now I know intercourse is suppose to help induce labor but these symptoms I'm having are they normal this far along in my pregnancy. Note this is my first child so I'm new to all of this. Thanks to any advice given.

Drink lots and lots of water if nothing changes, time them and call your doc.  Could be early stages of labor.

Could easily be labor. Don't fight the cramping and don't lay on your back! How bad is the spotting? If its a lot go get it checked. If its just a little bit and has stopped then I think it's ok. Did you pass your mucus plug previously? That could be what it's from. If the back pain is really bad, try getting on your hands and knees and put your shoulders to the floor and your but in the air. If all these things work, then it's probably labor. Which is just fine your past 37 wks. You can always call your ob or the maternity floor to check in with them.

I would try timing the contractions but it is very normal for sex to cause false labor at this point in pregnancy. Try drinking water and laying on your side and see if that helps, or take a warm shower.

Yep your in labor girl!!! You could be in early labor for only a few hours or days so this is the time to relax, take a bath, nap... etc while you can somewhat comfortably... You will need the energy for active labor. Biggest mistake I made with my 2nd pregnancy was to not save my energy during early labor... Good luck mama
