Welcome Home Banners

What did you write on yours?

 Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm so not creative and all I can think of is:

Welcome Home ______

LOL, anything cute or clever would be appreciated.

Re: Welcome Home Banners

  • Just as long as it's not about sex, I think it's a fine sign. The sex ones make me uncomfortable, unless they're inside your house. Otherwise, there are kids and mothers present!
I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
  • Ugh, the ones about sex creep me out.  I just kind of think they're a little bit tacky too but that's just my personal opinion.  I saw a really cute one once that said, "always under the same sky, finally under the same roof."

  • Oh don't worry - we are grown adults (late 20s, early 30s) and keep our private lives, just that - private! I think he would be mortified/pissed if I ever said anything sexual (which I would never do anyways).  LOL

Plus, we have a little one who hasn't seen her daddy since she was just a newborn.

So I thought maybe something cute about Daddy's Home... or something to incorporate that idea

  • For my hubby's last homecoming I made a sign that said... "Job well done soldier...Now come here and kiss me!" that was the sign I took to the ceremony. Cute, but not overly inappropriate.

  • I saw a picture of a little boy's t-shirt that on the back said "Goodbye Iraq. I got my daddy back." It made for a super cute photo op when daddy was holding him and you could read the back.
