I see all of these posts on parents wondering what to do about pacifiers..but they usually say that their LO's can't put it in their mouths or it keeps them up at night. We don't have that problem...so now what? DS is 8 months old and loves his pacifier. We have like 10 of them and he puts them in his own mouth. I guess I don't mind him having it either. It's never a burden to us though. He can usually put it back in his own mouth..the only time we have to get up is if it falls out of the crib. DS is a pretty easy baby but he really loves his paci's (thank you DH and family).
So my question is - would you rush to take it away if it didn't really keep you up at night? And do you think we'll need to sleep train since he gets it when he's in the crib? (We never sleep trained to get him sleeping in the crib in the first place)
TIA!
Re: WWYD: paci question
Totally agree!
I agree also! My DD has 6-8 pacis in her crib at night. I never have to get up to put it back in for her. She does not suck on them much during the day.
Don't fix what ain't broke!
I took my kid's paci away no problem at 7ish months. However, let's not talk about her bottle love or the fact she MUST be rocked to sleep everynight.
Just like adults, every kid has their vice and most give it up in good time when they're ready.
I also feel like there's such a push to take everything away. They're just babies, let them be for a bit. They grow up too fast as it is.
