Cleaning throw up

Poor Joey has been sick for the past 4 days and just threw up all over the carpet and microsuede couch (and himself and me).  If you've had to deal with this, what's a good way to clean it and get rid of the smell.  My dog keeps licking the carpet.  So. Gross.

Poor guy, I hope he starts feeling better soon. For any sort of mess on my couch or carpet I use resolve cleaner. Do you have carpet cleaner/steamer contraption? That will give your couch are carpet a deep clean as well. Good luck!
