NBR - help with songs for video

Good evening Ladies!  I am working on a video for MIL to surprise her for her 60th surprise birthday party.  I plan to have as many pics from when she was younger then move to before kids/grandkids, then I have TONS of her and FIL with the grandkids.

 So - I  will probably use several songs.  Any ideas for songs for each of the segments?

Can you find out what some of her favorite songs were from the past and use those with the pictures from those times?

I can only think of sappy songs like "What a wonderful world".  Is there a type of music she likes to listen to?
