Good morning, gals!
Extra hugs and good thoughts for Charmedgirl and Kokocat who have their anatomy scans today, and to all of the ladies with appointments this week! I've got plenty of good Juju left over for Missa, too.
If you have updates on appointments (I know we had lots of anatomy scans last week!), just let me know and I'll include for next week! If we have any new folks, let me know that, too, and I'll do the same.
ETA: And I completely forgot that I was going to bring up the possibility of an August PGAL Facebook group, inspired by Marierk. Would anyone have any interest in this? It would be another way of keeping up with each other, but totally optional (I know privacy is very important to many of us) and I know I would, at least, still be around TB a lot because I feel so invested in so many of the PGALers who aren't due in August. But I also think you ladies are really swell and would love to get to know you all better.
If there's enough interest I'll go ahead and create it. Just let me know!

How are you feeling, physically and emotionally? I feel great physically, love feeling this little guy moving around. Emotionally I'm a hot mess as my a/s is Wednesday and I am terrified of bad news. I'm trying to relax about it though..

Tried to put on non-maternity pants this weekend and failed miserably. Couldn't even get them past my thighs. Not really news, just a sad (or very happy) observation.

I usually call the baby "jellybean," and for DH it has been upgraded from a gesture towards my general abdominal direction to "it." I call that success.

Any upcoming appointments? I've got my monthly appt. this Thursday and am hopeful they'll schedule my a/s really soon.
Any pregnancy news? I am so ready to have a round belly instead of this weird flat-top bump. Sigh. I'm nearly 20 weeks, surely I'll pop soon!
Any new symptoms? Not unless you count weight gain! I'm not sure how I gained two pounds in one week, since that's a 1,000 extra calories a day and I know I haven't been *that* bad. Ugh. I'm still only up six pounds, but since I started with about 10 extra, I'm fretting.
QOTW: DH and I call the baby "baby." We make a lot of jokes about it being a baby robot, though.

Have been feeling the baby kick very often and DH got to feel the baby kick from the outside last week! So exciting!! The baby was also kicking when DD was laying against my stomach this weekend but she didn't seem to notice or care! lol

I am now experiencing heartburn!! Argh! Luckily it's not very bad so let's hope it stays that way. With DD, it was horrible!!

Not really, DH likes to tease me and use the name Hayden since that's the name he wants to use if we have a boy but I don't want to use it so he tends to call the baby Hayden just to tease me! lol

Any pregnancy news? Daddy finally felt baby move yesterday...I swear he had a tear in his eye, but when I asked if he was gonna cry, he said no. :-)
Any new symptoms? Major heartburn has been setting in...oh Taco Bell how I love you, but can't bear to eat you! I've also been having swollen ankles at the end of the day, and on and off light headedness/dizziness.

How are you feeling, physically and emotionally? a little testy, but otherwise feeling pretty normal emotionally. physically i'm starting to feel a little streched. mornings are ok, but evenings my belly is a little uncomfortable when i try to get up and down out of chairs. worth it though.

How are you feeling, physically and emotionally? Good physically, especially since I was released from bed rest and can go for walks and hikes again now! I've started with the Braxton Hicks fun though, which stresses me out a bit. Emotionally, I'm MUCH better than last week pre-a/s, though am still bothered by bouts of not feeling confident. I'm looking forward to an appointment with my counselor tomorrow to talk about that.
Any upcoming appointments? Nope. Have to wait all the way 'til April 20 now!

Hi ladies, sorry I have been a bad bumpie. I am officially bumping from my phone at work so it's been hard to keep up. They put the spyware on our computers to track everything so I can't come on at work anymore
darn them!! I have been thinking of everyone & wishing the best for our little Leos.
Physically, awesome! Emotionally, this month has been hard. I am very anxious for my anatomy scan & to see LO again. I pray every night that everything is ok. The movement I feel is very faint due to my weight & placenta placement.
April 2nd is the big day!!! On pins & needles. We will be making our first purchase that day.
Pregnancy news: blood work for the NT & Quad came back totally normal. Hooray!!
New symptoms: the dreaded pregnancy induced carpel tunnel is back with a vengeance. I did not miss it. Hurts to type & is numb when I sleep. I need to find my brace I used when pregnant with DS.
QOTD: we don't really have one this time. I tend to call this one Little Bit, littlest little or wee one. DH just says the baby or you two. Lol!

For the most part I am feeling great, I have a ton more energy and I even swam laps last night! However, with spring in the air my allergies are killing me.

No, we don't really have a nickname. I'm not a huge nickname person, I will call DS different little nicknames but they usually have something to do with what he's wearing or how he is acting so it's hard to do this for baby. We are starting to call him by the name that we think is our top choice, but we aren't 100% sure about it so that feels kind of weird too.
So funny! I'll have to mention this one to DH.

Hello My name is Dena. I am new to the bump and August check in! I am pregnant with boy/girl twins.
My last pregnancy ended at 20 weeks when my water broke and I went into labor. My son Xavier passed before he could even be born. =( The pregnancy before that my water broke at 24 weeks and I went into labor. My son Jaden was delivered and passed shortly after birth. It was very traumatic to go through labor and delivery twice and both times not come home with a baby... heartbreaking. After my second loss they diagnosed me with an incompetent cervix. So this time around I was given a cervical cerclage at 13 weeks. So here's hoping it will hold both these babies in!
How are you feeling, physically and emotionally?
Physically I am doing well most days. I do keep getting horrible headaches though. I still have morning sickness from time to time. I am also getting a lot of round ligament pains. Still have awful heartburn too at times.
Emotionally I am doing better then I was. My anxiety has calmed down some but I am still having a lot of anxiety and fears about losing these babies. I am also really nervous about having a c section too! I get excited and look forward to the babies and then at the same time I am nervous to get too excited for fear of losing them and having my heartbroken again.
Any upcoming appointments?
The doc's first told me my due date was Augusts 5th and now they say it was supposed to be August 13th. My next ultrasound is April 3rd. My next OB appointment is April 9th.
Any pregnancy news?
My last ultrasound my cervix was closed and long. My cerclage was still in place and looked good. The boy twin was sucking his thumb!
The girl twin looked like she was waving to us! My belly was measuring 25cm's as of last week. Doctor said I am measuring ahead but that its good since there are two babies in there! I still have only gained 2lbs... which still doesn't get me to my pre pregnancy weight. The first four months I had hyper emesis so with all the severe morning sickness I lost some weight. Doc's say it didn't affect the babies any though... just made mommy really miserable and sick! Thank god that's let up and I can eat and drink now!!! Was getting tired of hospitals and IV's too!
Any new symptoms?
I can feel the babies kicking more .. and in places I had not felt them before. The boy twin is in the back and when he moves sometimes I get a shooting pain in my spine. The girl twin is up front and likes to kick under my belly button. Getting bigger in the belly so its making bending a little more difficult! Otherwise the only other new thing is the awful headaches!

We have names picked out for the babies so sometimes we refer to them by their names. Other times we joke that my body has been invaded by 'aliens' or 'UFC fighters'. For a while my boyfriend would call them 'gummy bears' because in the earlier ultrasounds that's what they looked like! He will hug my belly and call them 'HIS babies too' I told him to remember that when midnight feedings and diaper changes come up .. LOL

I feel great! The only thing going on with me is the semi-random crying... like the end of Cool Runnings that was playing on tv. I cried like a baby!

How are you feeling, physically and emotionally? Other than back pain and sciatica, I feel very well these days. I did talk to my OB's office about the back and sciatic pain this morning, and it's anyone's guess at this point whether it continues or whether it's just hanging around during this growth spurt. It'd put up with either, but I'm hoping it's just a growth spurt thing! Emotionally, I'm building confidence in this pregnancy. I'm not 100% there yet, and I may never be, but I'm nowhere near as anxious and afraid as I once was.
Any upcoming appointments? Not for 4 weeks, I had my anatomy scan today. Perinatologist hasn't looked at the images yet, but the tech said everything looked good. LO was a wiggling machine, and did not want to cooperate and give the tech the measurements she needed. I think I had my first moments of embarrassment for the bad behavior of my son! She ended up having me lay on my side, and after a few minutes, he did turn a little. I got a couple nice pics of him doing a thumbs up, and one of his legs over his head, like an olympic diver! That was pretty funny. Overall, the appt seems to have gone well. I'm hoping the perinatologist doesn't see anything he doesn't like, and we can have an uneventful 2nd half of this pregnancy!
Any pregnancy news? We bought our nursery furniture this past weekend. EEK! It will be in to pick up in 8-12 weeks. I started cleaning out LO's room this weekend and go the closet emptied and one small piece of furniture out. (if you saw how packed the closet was, you'd know this was an accomplishment!) It's going to be slow, but I'll get there!
Any new symptoms? I'm a little hungrier than I used to be, although not really hungry, like some ladies get. It seems like my metabolism ahs finally stopped incinerating calories, because I am almost back to my starting weight for the pregnancy. So, although there's been no overall gain, I'm heading in the right direction.
QOTW: Do you and DH have a nickname for baby? Is it the same one? Yes, it's Wee Heath. Heath is DH's last name, and obviously the "wee" is because he's small! It's helpful to call him that because DH is still deciding about whether we're going to go with our front runner for a name. I'm set on it, but DH needs a little more time to be sure. That's ok. I think not calling him by a real name or thinking of him by that name also help my heart stay a little more protected, just in case something were to go wrong.

Welcome, Dena. Glad to have you join the group. The August ladies, and PGAL in general are great. I'm so terribly sorry for your losses. Truth be told, I don't know how you're doing it this time, but you must be a very brave person. I'll be hoping that your LOs make it all the way to August. Good to have you with us.
How are you feeling, physically and emotionally? Physically I am still really tired. I thought that was supposed to get better by now, but at 8 pm my eyelids feel like they are made of lead.
Any upcoming appointments? Ultrasound on Wednesday. I had one already with the amnio, but I was too early to really get a great look at the outflow tracts of the heart.
Any pregnancy news? I felt baby move from the outside yesterday! I was really excited, but of course baby wouldnt do it again for DH.
Any new symptoms? I feel like I am starving all the time. I seem to get full quickly, so I dont eat that much at once. But three hours later I am near death with hunger again so now I graze all day.

We just call it baby, not very creative I know, but we are no where near agreed upon for a real name yet so a mutually agreeable nickname is too much to ask.

How are you feeling, physically and emotionally?
I have been feeling pretty good. I have been feeling the baby move around more and more which is making me excited. I also have been feeling better physically now that my morning sickness is mostly gone.
Any upcoming appointments?
I have my A/S on 4/10. Three days before DD's 2nd birthday. We are so excited to know what the baby is and be able to work on things such as the name and nursery.
Any pregnancy news?
Just that I have been feeling the baby more and more. I love those little flutters.
Any new symptoms?
I have been getting dizzy lately. With DD I almost fainted so I just hope I don't have a repeat.

How are you feeling, physically and emotionally? Physically, no symptoms whatsoever. Just weight gain. Emotionally - this morning I was a train wreck for no reason. The doc let me come in for peace of mind. Heard the babe's HB and it was perfect.

How are you feeling, physically and emotionally? I guess I am feeling pretty good. Emotionally I have been exhausted since DD and I moved 1,000 miles. It will be an interesting 6 months b/c we will be separated from DH. I have my FX that our house sells soon so we can buy a new one and all be together again.

How are you feeling, physically and emotionally? I've been feeling good....lots of movement from baby depending on the day,, but I feel something multiple times per day so that helps me to not worry as much. A little tired here and there but not too bad
Any upcoming appointments? My a/s is tomorrow morning at 7am and I feel like it's Christmas eve when I'm 4 years old.....we are sooooo excited!!

We put together all of our nursery furniture this weekend! We still need to paint and decorate but it feels so great to see it all set up. Its starting to feel real!

Any new symptoms? Started feeling movement in week 19, and have been getting RLP when I roll over in the middle of the night. Kind of annoying, but glad it's normal.
