We are currently bedsharing with our 2 year old and our 7 month old. Our 2 year old has been sleeping with us pretty much since birth. Our 7 month old has been since about 3 months. I am not ready for the fight of making either of them sleep in their own bed/crib. DH sleeps on the edge, then DS1 in the middle, then myself and then DS2. Thankfully we have a King, so there is a good amount of room, but I only have a pillow protecting DS2 and the edge of the bed. He is much more mobile now, so I am starting to get nervous. Do you think a bedrail would protect him from falling off? Any other ideas would be helpful.

Re: Bedsharing with a toddler and 7 month old?
Putting a bedrail on our bed gave me such peace of mind. I sleep better because it's there. It also means I can move him when he's in a deep sleep all the way over to the bedrail and buy myself a few more inches of space. Which I find critical with only ONE baby in the bed, lol. I think it's worth to get the bedrail though. GL
What about sidecarring the crib to the side of your bed so your youngest can't roll off?

I've used a bedrail since the beginning with DD. I don't think it's the safest option because the baby *could* still fall over it, but I'm such a light sleeper that I wake up with most of DD's moves so it works for us.
I really like the idea of sidecarring the crib. I think that would be a safer option.
