Babies: 6 - 9 Months

I'm so confused!!

So long story short, my 7.5 month old has been a terrible sleeper since day one. Basically refusing to be put in her bassinet ( in my room) at all, and if I was able to get her in there she would be up 45 mins later. I thought time would help...but it really wasn't working so I let her cry for the initial putting her to bed and it did work eventually. But the rest of the night was crap, she would be up every 1.5 hours or so. So I was co sleeping which I would totally continue to do, but she tosses and turns and latches and unlatches all night. If she is next to me in bed she like has to have my boob in her mouth or she wakes up....so I'm not getting any sleep. My question is...I really am not a fan of cry it out...but what else am I supposed to do??? She is so stubborn :/

Re: I'm so confused!!

  • My son is still they same way too. It is very tiring and frustrating. It won't always be this way she will grow out of it. I can't tell you about cio because I have never done it. I'm not for it or against it but I know it's not for me. Of all three of my children he is they most stubburn he takes 10-20 min naps and that's is if I'm lucky a lot of days there are no naps. Between working 50 hours 2 teenagers, a husband, a 6 months old, and taking care of a home makes life a little wild and tiring. Hang in there she will learn and continue to develope. Give her time and find a way to take time for you even if it's a glass of wine which will work it's way out of your system in a couple of hours and a bath or a nap. Hugs and I know you know motherhood has wounderfull moments that make they over tired and sleep deprived moments worth dealing with.
