Any FF mama's have trouble with Neosure??

I have been supplementing with Neosure since that is what she was getting in the NICU (in conjunction with my breast milk or BF'ing when I was there).  We have had lots of issues with bf'ing and finally went to all FF this week.  LO seems gassy...She has been gassy pretty much since she came home, but I think I am noticing it more now that things are settling down (fam gone, DH back to work etc).  Wondering if it is the Neosure? Anyone have to switch off of it?

It took our little guy awhile to adjust to all formula as well as he was given breastmilk in the hospital.  He had MAJOR gas issues from the formula, but over time, they got better.  We did try a gas/sensitive formula mixed at a 22 cal amount like the neosure but it was much thinner so he wanted to eat ALL the time.  Eventually he tolerated the Neosure fine, though still had/has gassy issues.  Now we are on the sensitive formula as he no longer needs the 22 cal...and we are adjusting AGAIN.  Good luck!

We mixed it with BM as you are doing and as they got more Neosure and less BM, Joey got very gassy and then very uncomfortable where he would scream through all feedings.  I changed him off of it and on to Enfamil Gentlease.  He did better... this was around 3 months.  Nathan lasted on the Neosure til 6 months.  I will say I called the pedi multiple times and begged to change him to something other than Neosure and they adamantly told me no... but I trusted my gut in the end and it was so much better.. and he still gained weight.  So sometimes you have to trust yourself.  I would try some gas drops first... we did put mylicon in every bottle for awhile before switching.  That helped at first.

My girls had really bad reflux and spitting up issues with neosure.  We were switched to Enfamil Prosobee (soy) for sensitive tummies per doctors recommendation

yup, DD was gassy and constipated from the Neosure.

My LO lasted like a week on Neosure/the enfamil preemie formula.  The pedi eventually transitioned him to gerber goodstart soy, which has its own constipation issues, but at least he doesn't howl through the night any more because his tummy hurts.  Good luck

Neosure made LO very refluxy.  I switched to Up and Up (Target) brand soy and she does very well on it.

LO had a HORRIBLE reaction to Neosure when they tried to fortify my BM with it. At first, they said he was just getting used to it (because he was spitting large amounts of it).  After 24 hours, he was SO sick that they were worried about NEC.  I had to sign consent forms for blood work, a spinal tap, x rays etc.  LO was sent back to Intensive Care for 4 days and taken off feeds etc.  The worst 4 days of my life.  Come to find out, he is MSPI, and he couldn't digest the Neosure.  Dairy in my BM made him gassy, but it's totally different than pumping a MSPI baby full of cow's milk protein formula.  Anyway, we did low dairy diet for me and then around 8 weeks switched to Alimentum.  No issues since!!!!!! HTH.
