Anybody have any info on this med and TTC? My allergies suck and I live in FL where we have allergy season 365 days a year. lol. I need the decongestant bc my nasal passages swell. I can't do the netti pot thing bc I have a horribly deviated septum and the water just runs back out of my nose instead of up and out the other side. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's an antihistamine, so it may dry up some of your cervical mucous.  It's a pregnancy category B drug, which means that it's most likely safe during pregnancy (if you're worried about taking it during the 2WW).  If you have really bad allergies, the benefit of being free from allergies might outweigh the risk that you have less watery CM.

I conceived (without trying!) while taking Claritin D for about 90 straight days due to a brutal spring. Now that we are trying again, I was wondering the same thing, but I haven't been taking it regularly, just when needed, and I haven't noted any CM dryness.

I see an allergist regularly. When I told them we are TTC, they switched me to Claritin- D claiming that it is safe when TTC and when actually PG.

 

Allergy season has been rough this year! GL

I can't say enough about Vitamin C and D-Hist for allergies.  Any allergy meds followed by the "D" made me super spacey, along with not being helpful.  The Vitamin C and D-Hist helped me get through my immunotherapy treatments (I had pollen allergies REALLY bad) and now I'm 1000 times better and just take vitamin C on high pollen count days.  If you have severe allergies and Claritin-D doesn't help with all of your symptoms, I highly recommend it.

d will generally dry you up, but everyone is different. Anything with decongestant could. GL!!! Feel better!
