My DH and I have narrowed down our boy choices to five.  I'd love to get all thoughts and opinions.  Last name is similar to Wolfe  Bet you can't guess which are my picks and his picks!

Calvin - I like this, it's kind of different

Archer - not a big fan

Evan - like this

Max (just Max) - like this a lot

Gunnar - not a big fan, similar reasons to not like Archer, this one is worse IMO - guns? I don't like it.

 

I'd vote:

1. Max

2. Calvin (tough to choose between this and Evan for second place)

3. Evan

4. Archer

5. Gunnar

I REALLY like Archer...my friend had a boy last July and named him that and its adorable.  I'm not a fan of Calvin, Evan, or Max.  Gunnar is...different.  I like it but not as much as Archer.

Love Evan and Max!! Calvin is ok, though NMS. I really don't like the other two, sorry.

My favorite is Max followed by Evan. The only one I really don't like is Gunnar - Gun just seems like the inevitable NN and I don't think I could do that. Good luck deciding!

Calvin and Evan are definitely my favorite.  I don't like just Max as a given name.  Archer and Gunnar are NMS.

I was not really a fan of Calvin, until I met one. He is the cutest little (big) thing and his name totally suits him. Now I love the name. 

I don't like Archer or Gunnar because they make me think of war (archer and gunner). Gunnar also makes me think of Gunnar Nelson from the Nelson Brothers and I don't really like long blond hair on men. ANYWAY, Evan is a bit too popular for my taste now, so I'd go with Calvin.

Calvin- I typically wouldn't like this but it makes me think of Cal Ripken and that's a good association for me.

Archer- no way, nms

Evan- 2nd fave

Max (just Max)- 1st choice

Gunnar- nms

I like Calvin and Max a lot.  Evan is fine, but kind of boring to me now.  Archer is NMS and I've never liked Gunnar.

Unless you or your DH are Scandinavian (like, REALLY Scandinavian) Gunnar comes off as very hipster and try-hard to me.
