If you're LO's using footless pajamas...

do you put socks on them to sleep?  I noticed that there aren't many footed pajamas as the sizes get bigger.  I bought a few pairs of footed ones from Carter's the other day, but they are really tight on M's chubby feet & legs.  I've seen a lot of footless ones, but I'm afraid he'd kick socks off or if he didn't wear any, that his feet would be cold.  Any ideas or suggestion?

  • I'm LOVING the footless, 2 piece jammies. I think they're so much cuter when they're bigger, especially now that he's mobile. I leave him sockless and that's probably because I have something against wearing socks to bed... makes me claustrophobic.

  • We use a lot of footless PJs because the footie ones are often too short for M.  We have her in a sleep sack at night, though, so no socks.

  • When we use the footless pj's we don't put socks on... but she is still in a sleepsack.  If we weren't using the sleepsack we would put socks on.

This is me too, so I guess I was having a problem seeing him in socks to sleep too. Wink

  • All we have in 12+ mo size is footless two piece jammies, and he wears those in the smaller sizes on laundry day.  I put them on with socks that are long enough that the pants cover them well so hopefully they'll stay on and keep his legs and feet warm enough.

ETA: he does not wear a sleep sack.  Hates them!  If he'd use one I probably wouldn't put him in socks.

  • Jagger has been in footless pjs for a while now, he's long so I prefer them over footed jammies. I do not put socks on him, he gets warm easily and our house is usually at 76 degrees at night. I also let him use a light weight blanket at night so I don't worry about his feet getting cold.

  • No socks. He'd probably kick them off. Plus, I hate sleeping in socks (or socks period for that matter) so I wouldn't put them on him. He sleeps with a light blanket though so I don't worry about his feet getting cold.

  • We do footless pajamas with socks and a sleepsack.  LO's room is cold at night because we turn our heat down, and with the sock & sleepsack combo she's nice and warm (but not overly warm).

  • yep, socks for both DSs when they are in footless pj's (at least spring/fall/winter).  we keep our house rather cool at night, though...

This is us exactly. We're using fleece sleep sacks right now too so it's plenty warm for her feet.
