    I like Pumpkin Patch on Anderson Lane. Not as north, but I've had good luck there.

    If you happen to glance into the regular thrift stores rather than the children oriented ones I think you'll find that the prices are better.  I know you're down South and I've been to Thrift Town & Thrift Land.  I think they're near Manchaca & Stassney or Wm Cannon.  Can't remember which.  Either way I found a ton of clothes there for DSS back when DSS was only with us a couple weekends out of the month.  I remember finding stuff there that still had the tags on them too.  Just an idea. =)
