The last week or two I have been so happy it's ridiculous. I think so many times we read about the hard times (solids, sleeping issues, sickness, etc...) that from time to time we need to give thanks for the good. That's what this is... list what you're thankful for.
I am so happy every time I see my DS smile or hear his laugh. I am so thankful for the hour of cuddle time I get every once in a while if he wakes up early and he comes into our bed for more sleep. He always wants to move around now and does not want to cuddle during the day. I'm thankful that if I'm having a bad day, I can look at a picture of DS and my heart warms...
Re: Being Thankful...
Her smile.
Her infectious laugh.
Weekend snuggle/nap time in bed together. We don't cosleep, never have, so this is a special treat. Waking up from a nap because I hear her take that waking-up-deep-breath and smiling at me is one of the best feelings I've ever had in my life.
I've dreamed of this my whole life. This experience is far exceeding my wildest expectations.
I tell her everyday: "I love you. I thank God for you. You're our special blessing".
I'm with you. Cherish this. Every day is a new discovery.
When she laughs and I can't help but laugh with her, even if she's laughing because she was doing something she's not allowed to.
When she snuggles her face against my chest / shoulder after getting up from a nap.
The way she prefers me to everyone else in the world (that probably won't last long, so gotta enjoy it while it does!!)
The look in her eyes when she does something new and is really proud of herself.
