Well, Ladies...

I'm out.  No baby to have a heart beat.  They had the machine turned away from me, but there's a monitor on the wall I could see, though it's not very clear.  DH was able to see the machine's monitor and said it looked exactly the same as last week.  I'm sad, but this time we were able to talk to the doc face to face.  Last time, the post-u/s bloodwork confirmed m/c, so he just talked to me over the phone.  He did a good job of making us feel better about it and reassuring us that we're not outside of the "norm."  They took five more vials of blood to test all my stuff (thyroid, autoimmune, anti-coagulation, etc.), but made sure we knew that odds are, everything will come back normal.  When we went back to the waiting room after the u/s, I was pretty upset, but DH did an awesome job of reassuring me that "we'll get it right."  He made me laugh when I apologized (he's got three healthy kids, none of them planned, but we can't seem to make it happen for one we actually planned on).  He said that it's probably his "old decrepit sperm" that's the problem.  I actually laughed out loud.  lol.  We're doing pretty okay right now.  I'm sure I'll have my emotional ups and downs, but there are women who've been through this more than twice, so I know our situation could be worse.  We're just thankful that we don't have a problem actually conceiving and, though we probably won't get any concrete answers, I'm hoping something comes back in my bloodwork that we can fix and maybe we won't have to worry so much next time and maybe the third time will be a charm.

Sorry it took me so long to post this.  My phone won't let me post new posts for some reason. I  can reply to a post, but can't post a new one from it, and when we got home, the fuse that powers my laptop was blown so DH had to figure all that out and fix it.

Right now, I'm giving it a week to see what happens.  If nothing, I'll call my doc's office on Monday.  In the meantime, I'm drinking regular coffee, taking hot baths, and eating lunch meat and fish.

Thank you ladies for making my (short) stay here so awesome and I'll never be able to thank you enough for your amazing support over the past few days.  Rest assured, I'll be lurking in on you and hopefully will join you again in a couple of months.  *hugs* and much love to you all.

I'm so sorry maxsom. My heart is breaking for you that you have to go through this again. I had a similar "you're still normal" appt with my OB after our 2nd loss and I truly hope and believe it's true. You will have your take home baby. Aww no no no I was hoping and praying that everything was going to be great and it makes me so mad that this happens especially to a sweet woman like you. It's just not fair! I'm so so sorry that you have to go through this again, maxsom. You deserve your take home baby and I will keep praying that you get that very soon.
