Any reviews of the Infantino EcoSash Wrap & Tie Carrier?

This is on sale for $34.99 on zulily today and I'm tempted to try it. Anyone have any reviews (good or bad) about this carrier? We have registered for a Moby and a Beco Gemini but I'm tempted to just try this one as well because of the price. Worth it or not? Thanks ladies!

  • As a carrier, I like it. It's easy to use and comfortable.

Someone will jump in here to tell you Infantino is an evil company that doesn't issue recalls even when one of their products kills babies. And that's true. So you have to decide if you care about that when buying a product.

  • I bought one from zulilly about a year ago and have had no problems.

  • It's my DH's go-to carrier. He loves it. I use it if it's the only one in the car, and I have no complaints. We bought it for $35 off babysteals.com a year or so ago. I wouldn't have paid more than that for it.

  • My only concern is how much lower back support it has. I see that it has lots of upper back support and a tie around the lower back. So if you are prone to back pain, think about whether that matters to you.

I have an Ergo and moby, which has support in the back of the shoulders as well as around my waist. I see moms carrying babies in the baby bjorns and I have no idea how their backs aren't falling apart after a week of using them.

  • DH got this one for me.  I actually really like it.  How ever we got ours at Marshalls for $25 (clearance)

  • I gave in to the $35 price tag and bought it last night.  We'll see how it works.  I've wanted a babyhawk since DD was born, and while I am sure the BH is better....I figured I could at least try this one out.  I am not sure about the leg hole loops on it, looks like that could be a pain, and I don't know if the straps are supportive enough to not use them.  I figure if I don't like it, I will sell it on CL and keep trying to talk DH into getting me a BH.

  • I never used the leg loops. It's totally fine without it.
  • Someone on thebabywearer forums was able to rip out the straps with her bare hands. Turns out they are not triple stitched through all the layers.

Its a copy of the catbird baby MT btw. Only the CBB one is reinforced properly...

Me too, and I STILL think it was a waste... DS didn't like it and neither did I.
