What are your thoughts on Stella? We are down to our short list for our baby girl due in May. We both like it and think, although it is becoming more popular/trendy, it is not TOO much so. Also think that it has a little timeless classic appeal.
I had my heart set on Stella for a long time - but two different co-workers named their daughter's Stella so we're looking at other options. Beautiful name though... I love it!
I love it, but Tori Spelling named her daughter that so I didnt like it anymore for some reason. Maybe cuz it might get too popular. But its very pretty!
I'm rather biased, seeing as it's my eldest daughter's name, but I just love it.
We named her after my grandmother, as I'd adored her name since my childhood. Then, of course, within several months, Tori Spelling named her child the very same thing, thus creating one of those celebrity baby naming booms that drives me absolutely bonkers.
Anyways. . . I think it's a wonderful name, regardless of popularity
Familiar with the Streetcar Named Desire reference to the name Stella ( i.e. "Stellllaaa!!!")
Do not remember "Stella" name reference in the ending of The Graduate, where Dustin Hoffman is pounding on the glass in the church?, please enlighten......

This. It has always sounded like someone is trying too hard. I think of stellar or something obnoxious like that. Sorry, NMS.
