First OB appt

Okay, let's start with the fact that keeping my pants on was totally fabulous! I really liked the doctor. He was really calm and answered all of our questions, including DH who asked if the baby had a head. He at least didn't giggle at that! I learned that there is another doc at the practice and either one could deliver the baby, so I will meet with both of them. I was really disappointed that I have to see a high risk OB because I'm so old, but he said it was just for genetic testing and that would probably be it. He was really pushing doing an amnio, but I'm not so sure about that. And, I don't know why, but having the regular OB tell me everything was fine just made me feel so much better than when the RE said it!

Glad you liked your OB!!! I see a high risk MFM, along with my OB, and the way I see it is, I just feel better knowing that I'm being extra monitored!

I did the genetic counseling too. The genetic counselor heavily pushed having an amnio, but my MFM said we would first see if the NT scan gave us a reason to do further testing. We got fantastic results, especially for my age so opted to not do the amnio.
